Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha received heavy to very heavy rainfall during the last 24 hours, according to the latest data released by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
As per the IMD report recorded till 8:30 am today, Kendrapada district topped the list with extremely heavy showers. Rajnagar in Kendrapada recorded the highest rainfall of 155 mm, followed by Aul with 126 mm. In Balasore district, NH-5 at Govindpur received 121.4 mm while Bari in Jajpur recorded 120.1 mm. Several stations in Mayurbhanj also received significant rainfall, with Betanati recording 101.1 mm.
Overall, the IMD reported very heavy rainfall at four stations and heavy rainfall at 14 stations across the state. Districts including Kendrapada, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, and Bhadrak were among the worst affected by this fresh monsoon spell.
