Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a nowcast warning for several districts of Odisha, predicting light to moderate rain along with thunderstorm and lightning in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 7:25 am today, light to moderate rain and thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack including Cuttack city, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha including Bhubaneswar city, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh during the next 3 hours. These districts have been issued a yellow warning,
People in the affected districts have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for any worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
Residents have been asked to avoid open areas and take shelter during thunderstorm activity.
