Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre of Bhubaneswar has issued a nowcast warning for five districts of Odisha predicting thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 10:30 am today, thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at a few places in Jagatsingpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Ganjam and Sundargada within the next 3 hours.
The IMD has advised people in these districts to keep a watch on the weather for any worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
With monsoon activity active across the state, the India Meteorological Department has urged residents to avoid open areas, trees and electric poles during thunderstorms.
