Bhubaneswar: The Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department of the Odisha government continues intensive efforts to protect livestock in flood-affected areas.
According to an official update released by the department, dedicated teams working on the ground have so far evacuated 77 animals and arranged eight shelter locations till August 17. In addition, 6,950 animals have been vaccinated and 3,627 animals have received veterinary treatment.
The department stated that teams are actively engaged in evacuation, providing temporary shelters, vaccination drives and medical care to safeguard livestock during the ongoing flood situation.
Officials said the measures are aimed at preventing disease outbreaks and ensuring the safety of cattle, goats and other animals in the affected regions.
