Bhubaneswar: The three-day state-level photography workshop ‘Kala O Camera 2026’ organized by Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi in collaboration with the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture concluded on Friday at Kalinga Art Gallery.
Culture Minister Suryavansi Suraj attended the concluding ceremony as chief guest. Addressing the participants, the Minister said photography is a unique medium to preserve precious moments of heritage, culture, natural beauty and daily life.
He added that the workshop provided new experiences and guidance to talented photographers from across the state. The Minister also congratulated all the trainees who took part in the workshop.
More than 130 trainees from different districts of Odisha participated in the workshop held from August 19 to 21. Over the three days, participants received training on Basics of Photography, Street and Candid Photography, Landscape Photography and Portrait Photography.
Present at the concluding event were Dr. Devajani Bhuyan, Secretary, Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr. Bharti Pal, Superintendent, Odisha State Museum, Ashish Kumar Jena, Additional Inspector General, Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, and noted photographer Dilip Dhir Samant.
