Bhubaneswar: The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 50 kg of ganja being smuggled to Mumbai from Bhubaneswar and arrested two persons.
According to reports, two persons were carrying four trolley bags on the station premises when RPF personnel suspected their movement and detained them. On verification, the contraband was found inside the bags.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the ganja had come from Khalikote area in Ganjam district. The arrested have been identified as Subodh of Bihar and Rahul Bhuyan of Ganjam.
The GRP has registered a case and started further investigation. An inter-state ganja smuggling link is suspected and police are probing the matter.
