Bhubaneswar: Telkoi MLA Fakir Mohan Naik has alleged threat to his life and sought Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s intervention, demanding immediate enhancement of his security and an impartial probe into the incidents.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the MLA said that for the past few days, various threatening graphics and posts targeting him and his supporters have been circulating on social media, creating serious concerns for his and his allies’ safety.
Naik claimed that the threatening posts are not just online threats, but indicate a planned attack, which later took the form of a violent incident. He has requested that his security be immediately increased and an impartial investigation be conducted into all incidents related to threats and attacks.
He also demanded that the person or group circulating the threatening posts on social media be identified and an investigation be conducted to ascertain whether there is any conspiracy behind it.
