Bhubaneswar: Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy will hold an all-party meeting on Monday ahead of the Assembly session, seeking cooperation of the Opposition and ruling party members for smooth conduct of House proceedings.
The meeting has been convened ahead of the Monsoon Session commencing from September 22. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Opposition chief whip, Congress Legislature Party leader and party whips are likely to attend the meeting.
The Assembly is scheduled to sit till October 3. Most days have been earmarked for official business. Friday, September 25 has been set aside for Private Members’ Business, including Bills and Resolutions.
