Bhubaneswar: Kurmitar Iron Ore Mines of Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC) has been conferred with the prestigious Pollution Control Excellence Award 2026 in the Mines Category by the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha (SPCB), in recognition of its excellence in pollution control, environmental management and adoption of sustainable mining practices.
The award was presented at the 43rd Foundation Day Ceremony of the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha, held today at Krishi Siksha Sadan Auditorium, OUAT, Bhubaneswar.
The recognition reflects OMC’s sustained efforts towards effective environmental management and pollution control measures, with a focus on responsible mining practices. It also underscores the Corporation’s endeavour to adopt sustainable mining practices across its mines.
