Puri: Bollywood actor Govinda on Wednesday visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dasami, witnessing the deity’s Suna Besha (golden attire).
Govinda also offered prayers to Goddess Laxmi, Goddess Bimala and other deities at the 12th-century shrine.
Describing the darshan as a great fortune, the actor prayed for the well-being of people across the country.
“On this sacred Vijaya Dasami, may Mahaprabhu bless all. I have prayed for the well-being of the people of the entire country,” he said after emerging from the temple.
Govinda added that Lord Jagannath’s blessings give people the strength to face challenging situations in life.
