Bhubaneswar: The SGFI National School Rugby Tournament (U-17 Boys and Girls) concluded successfully at the Tyagraj Stadium in New Delhi, running from October 26 to October 28.
The Odisha team, participating under the School and Mass Education Department, delivered an outstanding performance, bringing immense pride to the state.
In the U-17 Girls’ final, Odisha dominated Bihar with a decisive 12–0 victory to secure the gold medal and claim the championship title.
In the U-17 Boys’ category, Odisha put up a fierce fight to reach the final. In a closely contested summit clash, they fell narrowly to Bihar with a 12–7 scoreline, earning the silver medal as runners-up.
