Jaleswar: Chairpersons of the Odisha State Commission for Women, Shobhana Mohanty, and the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Babita Patra, on Wednesday visited the residence of the minor girl who was allegedly abducted, raped and murdered in Jaleswar and assured her family of strict action against the accused.
The two chairpersons interacted with the bereaved family and assured them that firm action would be taken against those responsible at the earliest and that justice would be ensured.
Patra also visited the spot where the minor girl’s body was recovered and conducted an inquiry into the incident.
The visits came amid growing political reactions over the heinous crime.
