Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a yellow warning for 12 districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder at isolated places during the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 4.20 pm, the districts likely to experience such weather conditions are Khordha, Nayagada, Kandhamal, Jagatsingpur, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kataka, Anugola, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh and Kendrapada.
The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on changing weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly to ensure their safety.
The warning has been issued under the yellow alert category, indicating that people should remain aware of the possibility of deteriorating weather conditions.
