Berhampur: All schools across Odisha’s Ganjam district will remain closed on Wednesday in view of restoration work and preparedness measures following heavy rainfall triggered by cyclonic storm ‘Arnab’, officials said.
The District Education Office, Ganjam, issued an order on Tuesday directing the closure of all educational institutions, from elementary to higher secondary levels, irrespective of their management.
The decision was taken in view of restoration work being undertaken by the district administration and preparations for the reopening of schools following the heavy rainfall caused by the cyclonic storm.
All schools in the district have been directed to remain closed for the day on November 4, the order stated.
