Bhubaneswar: The Kataka Municipal Corporation (KMC) has sent essential relief materials to flood-affected people in Ganjam district as part of its efforts to support those affected by the calamity, officials said on Tuesday.
Under the leadership of Mayor Subhash Singh and Municipal Commissioner Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, the civic body extended assistance to the affected people in the neighbouring district.
A team from the KMC handed over the relief materials to the Ganjam District Administration at the Collector’s Office for further distribution among the affected people.
The initiative reflects the civic body’s solidarity with the people of Ganjam during the difficult situation, officials said.
