Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead Of Congress Demonstration Around State Assembly Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: In anticipation of traffic congestion, the Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory due to the Congress party’s announcement for a massive demonstration around the State Assembly on March 27.

The police advisory warns of significant traffic congestion from 9 AM to 3 PM in and around the city area of Bhubaneswar, particularly on the route from Raj Mahal Square to Rupali Square and vice versa.

To minimize travel disruptions, the Commissionerate Police advises the public to avoid this route or plan their journey accordingly. The police also urge citizens to stay updated with local traffic advisories and cooperate with police for safe and hassle-free travel.

The Congress party plans to intensify its demonstration after 12 of its MLAs were suspended from the Assembly on March 25 for indiscipline and disrespecting the chair.

Two more Congress MLAs faced similar action on Wednesday. This development comes after the party announced its decision to gherao the Assembly two days prior, protesting the issue of women’s safety. The Congress party has vowed to escalate its agitation, with plans to surround the Assembly on March 27.
