Bhubaneswar: More than 1.23 lakh beneficiaries who were left out of the fourth installment of the Subhadra Yojana in Odisha will receive financial assistance on May 4, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Saturday.
In a social media post, Parida informed that a total of 1,23,849 eligible beneficiaries, who could not avail the benefits earlier, have now been identified and will be covered under the scheme in the upcoming disbursement.
The state government had earlier directed officials to identify beneficiaries who were excluded from the fourth installment released on March 8 due to various reasons. Authorities were tasked with preparing a comprehensive list to ensure that no eligible recipient is deprived of the scheme’s benefits.
Notably, over 1.02 crore beneficiaries had received financial assistance amounting to Rs 5,000 crore under the fourth installment of the flagship scheme on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The latest move is aimed at plugging gaps in implementation and ensuring wider coverage of the scheme, which focuses on financial support for women beneficiaries across the state.
