Bhubaneswar: A team of 10 athletes, partners and coaches left for Delhi to participate in the National Preparatory Camp to be held at Amity University, Noida from 25th to 29th April 2023. The team was seen off at the airport by Umakanta Sarangi, Balangir District Coordinator of Special Olympics Bharat-Odisha.
The team comprised of Baishnab Rajpalia, athlete in Futsal: Sachin Barik and Aridita Chakrabarty, athletes in Athletics; Kalpana Jena, athlete in Cycling; Jyoti Ranjan Ojha, Mamali Nag and Shibani Priyadarshini, partners in Unified Volleyball; Jhasketan Sahu, Coach in Futsal; Sasmita Routray, Coach in Basketball and Chinmayee Behera, Support Staff.
The team will be participating in their respective sports and vying for final selection for the Special Olympics
World Summer Games 2023 is to be held in Berlin, Germany in June this year.
