Bhubaneswar: As many as 15 people were injured in a monkey herd attack in the Sanamanatia Gram Panchayat area under Rural Police Station in Pattamundai, Kendrapara district.

The incident occurred in the nearby Badamanatia village, where around 15 to 16 individuals were injured. The victims have been identified as Kalandi Samal, Rabindra Sahoo, Purastam Malik, Subhashri Das, and others.

All the injured individuals were admitted to Pattamundai Sub-Divisional Health Centre and the Kendrapara District Health Centre (DHH) for treatment.

According to reports, the villagers are now living in constant fear and are afraid to leave their homes. When they do venture outside, they carry sticks for protection.
