Bhubaneswar: Fifteen platoons of police will be deployed for the second edition of .FEST in Bhubaneswar, which runs from January 15th to 29th, on the sidelines of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023.
Of the 15 platoons, five will be responsible for traffic duty. Additionally, 2 Additional DCPs, 6 ACPs, 19 Inspectors, and 52 Sub-Inspectors and Assistant Sub-Inspectors will be deployed for the festival, informed DCP Prateek Singh.
The festival will take place at the IDCO Exhibition Ground with seating arrangement for 7,600 people, as well as standing arrangements. Four designated parking areas will be available for attendees. There will be six gates for entry and exit, and the entire area will be under CCTV surveillance.
The festival will offer a variety of entertainment options, including performances by top musicians, singers, comedians, and dancers, as well as visits to ancient temples and caves at Khandagiri and Udaygiri. Street food from at least 16 countries and storytelling by acclaimed storytellers will also be featured.
Several popular Bollywood stars including Disha Patani, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Guru Randhawa, Neeti Mohan, Sunil Grover, and Sukhwinder Singh are among the artists who are scheduled to perform at the .FEST.
