Bhubaneswar: At least two persons were killed and an equal number were injured in two separate incidents of lightning strike in Odisha today.
One person was killed and the other two were critically injured in a lightning strike at Balakira under Baunsuni police limits in Boudh district. The three friends had taken shelter under a tree to protect themselves from heavy rain when lightning struck them.
In a separate incident, a woman died after lightning struck her today at Digambarpalli village near Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district today. The woman was working in the field when lightning struck her.
