Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident at Nimakhandi area in Ganjam district.
The incident occurred when the driver of the borewell drilling vehicle suddenly turned it to avoid hitting the cyclist, lost control, and overturned near a hatchery at Jhadankuli village.
The deceased, identified as Rabi Naik and Shivaji Kanhar, were trapped under the vehicle. The injured, including the cyclist, were rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
Police investigation is underway to determine the accident’s circumstances.
