Bhubaneswar: Two persons lost their lives in separate lightning strike incidents in Balangir district on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Gangadhar Dharua of Saramuhana village and Snehalata Budek of Tustapali village.

According to sources, the first incident took place in Bagdor village under Belapada police limits in Patnagarh sub-division. Gangadhar Dharua was reportedly ploughing a field with his tractor when lightning struck, killing him on the spot.
