2 Passengers Killed, Over 40 Injured As Bus Turns Turtle In Angul

Bhubaneswar: Two passengers reportedly died and several others sustained varying degrees of injuries after a state government bus overturned in the in Khamar area of ​​Pallahada block of Angul district on Sunday afternoon. The condition of 10 other passengers is said to be critical. The injured have been admitted to Talcher sub-district hospital.

The mishap took place while the bus was on its way from Baripada in Mayurbhanj district to Angul.

According to reports, a state government passenger bus was on its way from Baripada for Pallahada in Angul district this afternoon. The passenger bus was moving on the national highway when it overturned near Gah Panchayat under Khamar police station.

There were around 50 passengers in the bus and several of them were trapped under the vehicle after the accident.

On being informed, the police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and launched an operation to rescue the trapped the passengers.
