Cuttack: Three persons sustained serious injuries after a pickup van, allegedly driven by an inebriated driver, rammed into multiple vehicles near Mata Math Chowk under Mangalabag police limits in Cuttack on Sunday.
The accident occurred in the afternoon when the speeding pickup van reportedly lost control and crashed into a car, an auto-rickshaw, a scooty, and a motorcycle in quick succession.
According to reports, the van was being driven recklessly before it struck the vehicles, leaving three persons seriously injured. Locals rushed to the spot and helped shift the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Upon being informed, personnel from Mangalabag Police Station reached the spot, seized the vehicle, and detained the pickup van driver for further investigation.
