3 Killed In 2 Separate Accidents In Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Three persons including a woman were killed on Saturday after being hit by trucks in two separate incidents under Bonai and Chandiposh police limits in Sundargarh district.

According to reports, a biker was killed after being hit by a truck near Barghat on national highway no.143 under Chandiposh police limits.

Similarly, in a separate incident, a biker and his pillion rider were killed after being hit by a truck near Upar Bahal on national highway no.143 under Bonai police limits. The dead include a man and a woman. They were on their way to Bonai from a sponge iron factory when they were hit by a truck.

Following the accident tension prevailed in the area. Locals alleged that accidents were regularly taking place because of the poor condition of the road. Locals blocked the road demanding repair of the road and compensation for the next of kin of the deceased persons.

Police have launched investigations into both incidents.
