Three Stranded Trekkers Rescued After 22 Hours From Malyagiri Hill

Bhubaneswar: Three youths who were stranded on the Malyagiri Hill were successfully rescued after 22 hours on Thursday.

According to reports, the trio was part of a group of seven youths from Keonjhar who had gone trekking on the Malyagiri hill on Wednesday. They had started their climb from Khuludi Shiva Temple. While four members of the group returned safely, the other three went missing, triggering a major rescue operation by the Fire Services team.

After an intensive search in the difficult hilly terrain, the Fire Services personnel successfully located and rescued the three youths after 22 hours.

Notably, the seven youths from Keonjhar town area had gone for trekking on Wednesday. Due to the rugged terrain and bad weather, three of them lost their way.
