Bhubaneswar: In a swift administrative action, the Kalahandi district administration has removed Santanu Kumar Meher from the post of Headmaster of Government (SSD) High School, Madanpur.
According to an order issued by the Collector’s office on July 8, Santanu Kumar Meher has been relieved of his duties as Headmaster with immediate effect following allegations of making obscene gestures towards a female employee. He has been directed to report immediately to the office of the District Welfare Officer (DWO), Kalahandi.
As per the order, Mukesh Naik, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Science at the same school, has been given additional charge as Headmaster until further orders.
The order was issued citing “administrative exigency” by the Office of the Collector & District Magistrate, Kalahandi.
This development comes after complaints were reportedly filed against the Headmaster regarding inappropriate behaviour towards a woman staff member.
