Bhadrak: A three-year-old child died and his twin brother, 13-year-old sister, and mother fell critically ill after consuming fish curry. The incident occurred at Basudevpur block of Bhadrak district.

According to reports, Surendra Bandha’s family had consumed homemade fish curry on Wednesday afternoon. After eating the fish curry, the family members reportedly started vomiting in the evening, which continued throughout the night. When their condition worsened in the morning, they were rushed to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre.

While the three-year-old child, Sujit Bandha, was declared dead by the doctor, his twin brother Ajit, 13-year-old sister Lakshmi, and mother Kanaklata were found to be in critical condition. Due to their deteriorating health, they were referred to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.

The doctor informed that as Ajit did not show any sign of improvement, the child was referred to the Paediatric Department in Bhadrak for further care.
