Puri: Three youths were killed on the spot when they lost control over their motorcycle and crashed against a roadside structure on the Konark-Kakatpur Road near Badhei Square in Odisha Puri district on Tuesday evening.
Another youth, who was riding pillion, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. Unfortunately, the doctors at the hospital declared him ‘brought dead’.
The deceased, all in the age group of 18-25 years, have been identified as Deepak Malik and Sagar Malik of Tulsipur Aastikira village, and Satyaprakash Sahu of Tulsipur village.
According to reports, three youths were on way to Kakatpur on their motorcycle when the mishap occurred around 1.15 am. Locals from Charichak rushed to the spot and rescued the three injured. Two of the youths succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
On being informed, local police reached the spot and sent the bodies for autopsy. They have also launched an investigation into the fatal accident.
