Cuttack: A mass food poisoning incident has been reported at Ravenshaw University, where 44 students have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after falling ill with diarrhoea. According to reports, the students fell ill after consuming food at the university hostels.
37 students from the New PG Hostel and seven from the Dharmapada Hostel have been affected and are currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. The medical team is closely monitoring the health of the students.
The reason behind the incident will be investigated after the students receive treatment. Ravenshaw University’s Vice Chancellor and SCB Medical College authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation.
