The computerised lottery was conducted on August 31 at 4 PM in the chamber of the Director, Elementary Education, in the presence of officials. The process was conducted through the centralised online system to ensure transparency and fairness in the allotment of seats.
Of the eligible applications, 501 students were successfully allotted seats in private schools.
The admission process for the allotted students will begin on September 1 and continue till September 19, 2026. Parents and guardians of the selected students have been advised to complete the admission formalities within the stipulated period by visiting the respective allotted schools along with the required documents.
Officials said the RTE Paradarshi Portal has helped streamline the admission process through a transparent and technology-driven mechanism. The system aims to ensure equal educational opportunities for children from economically weaker and disadvantaged backgrounds.
The additional allotment round is expected to provide admission opportunities to more eligible children and further strengthen the implementation of the RTE Act across Odisha.
