Cuttack: Odisha Police acting DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi on Thursday inaugurated the State Police Professional Competition at the 6th Battalion at OMP in Cuttack.
More than 200 contestants from 30 police districts, including the Commissionerate Police and Police Training Center are participating in this competition. The organisers are paying special attention to the police scientific investigation competition. The competition is being held to boost police performance in controlling crime.
Acting DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi said that the competition will improve the efficiency of the police. The competition will emphasise on cybercrime, forensic science, and scientific research in the state.
Candidates from this competition will be selected for the Odisha team that will participate in the All India Police Career Competition to be held in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
