Bhubaneswar: Actor Anubhav Mohanty met Sefali Suna, the mother of renowned singer Humane Sagar who passed away recently.
Humane Sagar, a celebrated Odia playback singer, died on November 17, 2025, at the age of 35 due to multi-organ failure.
According to reports, actor Anubhav arrived at Utkela Airstrip in Kalahandi, via a special flight from Bhubaneswar. From there, he travelled directly to Titilagarh, where he visited Humane Sagar’s home.
Anubhav, who had gone Titlagarh to attend a musical tribute to Humane Sagar, met the singer’s mother and expressed his grief over the loss. “I loved Humane a lot, and now that he’s gone, I realize how much I miss him,’ Anubhav said.
He also assured Humane’s mother that she is not alone and has his support.
“Humane’s mother is like my own mother. I’ve told her that she is not alone, her elder son Anubhav is with her. It’s hard to believe that Humane is gone. Today, we are honouring him with a tribute programme, and it will be a memorable day for all of us. Artists from across Odisha have come to pay their respects, and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I am not sure if the cinema world will ever fill the void left by Humane” said Anubhav.
Notably, Humane Sagar’s death has shocked the Odia music industry and his fans, who are remembering him for his soulful voice and contributions to Odia music. He had won the second season of the reality singing competition ‘Voice of Odisha’ in 2012.
