Amit Shah Likely To Attend Badamba Sugar Mill Revitalisation Ceremony

Bhubaneswar: Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will undertake a three-day visit to Odisha from Friday, during which he is likely to attend the revitalisation ceremony of the Badamba Sugar Mill, inaugurate Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) Rs 1,775-crore second-generation (2G) ethanol plant in Bargarh district, and participate in a series of official programmes, sources said.

Shah will arrive at Jharsuguda on Friday night and stay there before travelling to Baulsingha in Bargarh district on Saturday.

He is scheduled to inaugurate BPCL’s 2G ethanol plant, address a public meeting and later travel to Sambalpur, where he will participate in government programmes, offer prayers at Maa Samaleswari Temple, and inaugurate or lay foundation stones for several development projects at Remed ground.

Shah will stay overnight in Bhubaneswar before travelling to Badamba in Cuttack district on Sunday to attend the revitalisation ceremony of the Badamba Sugar Mill, the revival of which was promised by the ruling BJP in its election manifesto.

Later in the day, he will return to Bhubaneswar to attend the President’s Colour presentation ceremony of the Odisha Police before departing for New Delhi in the evening, officials said.
