Armed Robbers Loot Rs 9 Lakh From Odisha Gramya Bank In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: In a daring daylight heist, unidentified assailants allegedly looted approximately Rs 9 lakh from the Kuchei branch of Odisha Gramya Bank in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, six armed assailants barged into the bank at around 2 pm. Brandishing firearms, the assailants held the bank staff at gunpoint and looted cash from the counters before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, local police reached the spot and launched a preliminary investigation. Eastern Range DIG Satyajit Naik and Mayurbhanj SP Varun Guntupalli also visited the bank and reviewed the situation.

Speaking to the media, officials stated that a detailed probe has been initiated and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
