Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make cattle rearing easier, more convenient and profitable, the Odisha government has launched an ‘On-Call AI Service’ across the state.
Under this initiative, farmers can now avail artificial insemination services for their cattle at their doorstep with just a single phone call. An Artificial Insemination technician will visit the farmer’s home and provide breeding services to improve cattle productivity. The facility is available in all 30 districts of Odisha.
The Fisheries Department has urged farmers to take advantage of this service to promote profitable and scientific cattle rearing through improved breeding. For availing the service, farmers can call the toll-free helpline number 155333.
