Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday announced that the next installment under the Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima. She said beneficiaries whose names were received from the districts by July 25 will also receive the financial assistance during the upcoming release.
Parida shared the information while participating in the Subhadra Shakti Vision Conference for Developed Odisha 2036, where officials working at the grassroots level on women’s empowerment gathered to discuss key challenges and future strategies.
The conference featured interactions with field-level functionaries, who highlighted the issues they encounter while implementing government programmes and suggested measures to improve service delivery. Discussions also focused on the support and policy interventions required from the department to address operational difficulties and strengthen women’s empowerment initiatives.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the feedback received from grassroots workers would help shape the future roadmap of the Mission Shakti Department. She noted that similar consultations had earlier been held with Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and Master Book Keepers (MBKs) to gather inputs from different levels of the implementation framework.
Based on the recommendations emerging from these consultations, the department will prepare a comprehensive Vision Document for Mission Shakti as part of the state’s “Developed Odisha 2036” initiative. The document is expected to outline strategies for further strengthening the department and expanding opportunities for women’s socio-economic empowerment across the state.
