Bhubaneswar: A suspicious bag was detected inside Biju Patnaik International Airport on Saturday, following a threat from Khalistani terrorist Pannun.
As per reports, the bag was discovered near the airport’s inner gate. After the bag was detected on the airport premises, the CISF and dog squad conducted a thorough search of the bag.
The contents of the bag were being examined, and an investigation was launched to determine the owner and purpose of the bag.
Following the investigation, the security personnel at Biju Patnaik International Airport clarified that the mysterious bag belonged to a passenger and did not contain any suspicious items. The security team after conducting a thorough verification process, including scanning and manual checks confirmed that the bag was left behind by a passenger, likely due to oversight or forgetfulness.
Earlier, Khalistani terrorist Pannun sent an email and audio message to senior journalist Akshay Sahoo, threatening to target Biju Patnaik Airport and disrupt the DGP conference. The email warned passengers not to fly from Bhubaneswar airport.
