Bhubaneswar: A thick blanket of fog has engulfed Bhubaneswar, reducing visibility to zero meters and disrupting air travel.
According to meteorologist Umashankar Dash, the fog is extremely dense, with visibility dropping to 0 meters in the capital region.
Taking to his X handle, Dash wrote: “Visible Distance #Zero Meters. In the Capital #Bhubaneswar region, visibility dropped to 0 meters amid extremely dense fog.”
Besides, the dense fog has caused significant delays at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, with flights to several destinations, including Goa, Kolkata, Guwahati, Utkela, Jaipur, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai experiencing delays of 2-2.5 hours. The visibility was recorded at just 50 meters at 6:30 am, leading to the delays.
