Bhubaneswar: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave and the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which will run until January 30 from tomorrow, informed Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra.
“As many as 60 platoons of police force and over 400 police officers of various ranks, in addition to the mobilization of additional police personnel, will be deployed to ensure security during the event,” Mishra stated.
Thousands of attendees, including VVIPs, dignitaries, and industrialists, are expected to gather at Janata Maidan for the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave. In light of this, the Commissionerate Police has implemented comprehensive security measures for the next three days.
The DCP highlighted that special security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Blue Book.
“Tight security has also been arranged at the Bhubaneswar Airport, along the route, and at the event venue. Traffic management is another critical area we are addressing, with the Traffic Wing making separate arrangements to minimize inconvenience to the public,” he added.
The DCP assured that foolproof security measures are in place. “With cooperation from all stakeholders, the three-day event will proceed smoothly. Given the large-scale attendance, traffic issues may arise, as with any major event. We appeal to everyone to cooperate and ensure minimal inconvenience,” Mishra said.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on January 28 to inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, a landmark event focused on the state’s socio-economic development.
As per the itinerary, PM Modi will attend the conclave from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. He will return to the airport by 12:35 PM and is expected to depart for Delhi at 12:55 PM.
