Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda (JP Nadda) is set to visit Odisha on April 12.
His visit aims to strengthen the party’s organizational framework and engage with local leadership.
“The decision regarding the BJP’s Odisha State President will be made through discussions with senior party leaders and in a democratic manner, as per the central leadership’s direction. There should be no confusion, as the selection of the State President will be a collective decision made by all party members, ensuring unity within the party,” said Kandhamal MP Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi to reporters on Saturday.
Panigrahi also confirmed that JP Nadda will visit Odisha again on April 12.
“JP Nadda will visit Odisha again on April 12 for party-related activities. The process of selecting the new Odisha State President will be completed at the appropriate time. During his visit, JP Nadda will inaugurate various government projects, engage with party workers, and hold strategic meetings with senior leaders to assess the political landscape,” he added.
Panigrahi further emphasized that the central government has prioritized Odisha as the gateway to the eastern zone.
“Odisha, as the capital of the eastern zone, plays a key role. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts are underway to make Odisha a developed state,” he added.
