Bhubaneswar: After BJP State president Manmohan Samal, and poll-in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, the co-in-charge of the saffron party for Odisha Lata Usendi today reaffirmed that the party will fight the election alone in the state in all Assembly and Lok Sabha seats.
“We are preparing to fight from all assembly and parliamentary in Odisha. Discussion was held on each seat in Delhi. Several party programmes over the election will be held throughout the day today.
To a media query over the alliance with BJD, Lata reiterated that BJP is ready for all seats in Odisha and no discussion has been held.
On the video clip containing the conversation of VK Pandian and Naveen Patnaik, the senior BJP leader said “It is his own statement who is telling lies. I can only tell you my statement.”
Notably, Patnaik was replying to a query from Pandian that rumours and lies are the worst things in politics. A 13-second video of Pandian and Naveen was uploaded on Pndian’s instagram page.
Earlier, poll in-charge for BJP in Odisha Vijaypal Singh Tomar also denied the alliance talk and said that no BJD leaders had met him to discuss the alliance. Similarly, Manmohan Samal, after returning from Delhi, had rubbished the speculation of possible ties saying that it was media creation. There was no discussion held in Delhi over alliance, he added.
