Bhubaneswar: As much as 94.41% of the target for vaccination of 15-18-year-olds was achieved in the city.
On the very first day of the rollout of Covid vaccination for the 15-18-year-olds in the country, 4,107 out of the targeted 4,350 took their jabs for the first dose in the city, according to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
However, the turnout in the other age groups in the city was not that impressive.
While the drop out percentage was 55.65 in the case of 18-44 years group, the drop out percentage was 70.08 in the 45 years above category.
Only 383 out of the targeted 1280 turned up to take their jabs in the above 45 years age category and 1357 out of the targeted 3060 turned up for their jabs in the 18-44 year old group.
