Bhadrak: In view of the grand Shree Ram Navami celebration, and Kalash Shobha Yatra today, the District Excise Office, Bhadrak has issued orders declaring Basudevpur area as a “Dry Day” on March 25.

According to an official order issued under sub-Section 1 of Section 26 of the Odisha Excise Act, 2008, all IMFL OFF Shops, Hotel/Restaurant ON Shops, CL Shops, Bhang shops, and Tari shops in the Basudevpur area will remain completely closed on Wednesday to maintain law and order, preserve the sanctity of the occasion, and prevent any untoward incident during the festival.

The order has been issued specifically for the observance of Sriram Navami. Strict compliance with the directive has been mandated. This decision comes ahead of the massive Kalash Shobha Yatra starting at 1:00 pm from Salandi Ghat and the subsequent Maha Yagya at Gandhi ground, which is expected to witness participation of lakhs of devotees.

The district administration has appealed to all licensees and the public to strictly adhere to the Dry Day order. Police and excise officials will conduct checks to ensure full compliance.
