Baripada: Mayurbhanj police have successfully cracked the June 23 firing incident on National Highway-18, arresting six individuals involved in the alleged robbery attempt that critically injured a 30-year-old man from Kuliana.
Led by SP Mayurbhanj under the guidance of DGP Odisha and DIG Eastern Range Dr Satyajit Nayak, the police team utilised technical analysis of CCTV footage and forensic evidence to recover one weapon and identify the culprits.
The Mayurbhanj police team has been commended for their diligence and effective detection of the case. They assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring citizen safety and security. The local community and media were appreciated for their cooperation in the investigation.
Notably, on the fateful day, the incident occurred when the victim, Shibananda Barik, was travelling on his motorcycle along the highway and was shot by armed miscreants allegedly attempting to rob him.
The police team swung into action immediately after the incident and conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the successful arrest of the six accused.
