Bhadrak: A major accident was averted on Friday after a car caught fire on National Highway 16 near Akhuapada in Bhadrak district. Fortunately, all three passengers inside the vehicle managed to escape safely, and no injuries were reported.
According to reports, the car was traveling from Balasore to Bhubaneswar when it suddenly caught fire. Within minutes, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The incident led to a brief disruption of traffic on the busy highway. Bhandaripokhari police reached the spot, took control of the situation, and have launched an investigation into the matter.
The charred remains of the vehicle were later cleared from the road to restore normal traffic movement.
