Sundargarh: The carcass of a newborn elephant calf was found at Kathmal under the Koida forest range of Sundargarh district on Friday.
According to reports, the newborn elephant is suspected to died two or three days back.
Locals on noticing the carcass informed the Forest Department. Officials of the Forest Department have seized the carcass, while a team led by ACF Bonai Forest division has launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the newborn elephant calf’s death.
