Bhubaneswar: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Dr. Satyajit Naik on Saturday reviewed the overall crime scenario, law and order situation and ongoing public safety initiatives in Jajpur district. The review meeting was held at the District Police Office and focused on assessing current trends in crime, the status of pending cases and measures required to strengthen policing at the ground level.
During the meeting, the DIG laid emphasis on maintaining law and order and adopting proactive strategies to prevent crime. Special focus was placed on tackling property-related offences, addressing the growing challenge of cybercrime and improving the overall efficiency and responsiveness of the police force. Senior district police officers briefed Dr. Naik on the existing security arrangements and initiatives being undertaken to enhance public safety.
Dr. Naik stressed the importance of timely investigation, effective supervision and coordinated action to ensure better outcomes in crime control and public confidence. He also underscored the need for the police to remain vigilant and citizen-friendly while dealing with emerging security challenges.
The visit is expected to boost the morale of the district police personnel and reinforce the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a safe and secure environment for the people of Jajpur.
