Chithra Arumugam Promoted To Apex Grade, Appointed Additional Chief Secretary In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Chithra Arumugam has been promoted to the Apex Grade (Level-17) of the IAS Pay Matrix, according to an official notification from the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Government of Odisha.

The promotion, issued under sub-rule (2)(i) of rule 3 of the IAS (Pay) Rules, 2016, was signed by Debasis Singh, Additional Secretary to the Government. With this elevation, Arumugam has been appointed to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary.

“On promotion to the Apex Grade, Smt. Arumugam, IAS, is appointed to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary and is allowed to continue in situ until further orders,” the notification read.

The notification also mentions that she will continue in her current posting until further orders.
